New To Program Bonuses

As long as you’re not wearing leggings, you should be able to pick up some points for getting on a plane. Alaska is offering 5,000 bonus miles to newbies who join their mileage program and take a flight in the next 6 months. Singapore Airlines is also offering 500 miles to people who take 30 seconds and join their program.

Alright…a few of you wanted to know my opinion on this United PR nightmare so I’ll just answer it here…

I agree with your outrage. This is still America (at least I think it is). If people want to wear leggings, it should be up to them. But, as you know, I tend to be an avid observer of human behavior. So this legging thing has been pretty wild to me for a couple of years…a lot of people got randomly comfortable walking around in ultra skin-tight clothes. Gym wear turned into regular pants. And it seemed to happen overnight. Going to the store…walking through an airport…bending over to pick up keys. This leaves me with many questions. Do ladies know that many types of leggings show everything? Are they aware of the drooling guys sticking their pervy heads right in there for a close-up view? Isn’t this all uncomfortable in some way? But hey, my opinion is just that…my opinion. It doesn’t change the fact that people should be allowed to wear strange and ill-advised clothing choices if that’s what they want to do. United dropped the ball on this one. The fact that they did it with young girls is going to rightfully cost them some business.
