I posted 5 days ago about the 35,000 miles for a Citibank checking account. I got an email from Scott, who read the terms and noticed you can fund the account with a credit card. I’ve done this before with banks and credit unions, and it’s obviously an AWESOME way to meet minimum spends and earn extra miles.
American Express and Citibank credit cards can, in some cases, count these charges as cash advances. Chase, on the other hand, has never been a problem for me. So if you have a Chase card that you need to meet a minimum spend on, you really should look at the checking account offer.
