- Win 100,000 miles from Alaska here.
- Don’t be alarmed if you actually win the Hilton raffle I mentioned last month. Heard from reader Trevor again…the odds of winning it are currently 1 in 67 with the deadline almost here.
- A bunch of readers (and me) were given free American status for a few months. Also some 500-mile upgrades thrown in. Definitely worth logging in to see if you’re targeted for anything.
- Hawaii flights from the west coast under 300 bucks round-trip are also worth a click.
- The new and almost-certainly-not-improved IHG PointBreaks list will be out later today.
End Of Week
- A JetBlue sale is available. Also, water is still wet.
- Speaking of JetBlue, their Business card is up to 50,000 points. That’s worth it to me. Getting approved by Barclays is the real question.
- Some readers logged into their American Express Gold card accounts and reached out after seeing restaurant/grocery purchases now worth 4 points per dollar. Impressive.
Have a great weekend, nerds!
Midweek Stuff
- A Frontier sale (for those of us eager to fly the Yugo of airlines).
- For a less what-has-my-life-become flight experience, here’s the latest award sale from Singapore Airlines.
- Get 15,000 bonus Radisson points for a stay.
- Grab Southwest A-List status for a couple of months or longer.
- Want the fun of football without those pesky concussions? Make a video for Marriott.
American Express Transfer Bonus
There’s a pretty good 40% transfer bonus from Amex points to British (or Iberia or Aer Lingus) Avios through November 15th. The main negative continues to be the British Airways website. It’s less reliable than the customer service at my local DMV…the pizza from my local food court…the performances in my local Ben Affleck movie.
I have no issue with the math of this bonus…it’s more about the pain that often comes along with redeeming these points. But, if we’re being honest, I’d jump on this if I had a specific booking in mind.
