  • Get a 20% bonus turning Marriott points into American miles. Not bad.
  • Or a 25% bonus turning hotel points (like Marriott) into United miles. Better.
  • How about National status if you already have it with Avis or Hertz? National is still my car rental favorite and it’s not close.

End Of Week Triple

  • Miles for being horny? It’s nerd overload! Grab your 76 Avios per dollar (plus a date) at Match.com.
  • Southwest is introducing their flights to Cuba. Still weird to me. But, hey, they’re doing it with some $59 fares from Florida. Suddenly less weird.
  • American Express increased their bonus for the SimplyCash Plus Business card. It’s up to $500 now. Not bad but I still haven’t gotten around to pulling the trigger on this one.

New Promo For Rent/Mortgage

Just heard from the people at Plastiq, right as their not-so-impressive competition RadPad quit the rent payment business.

Here’s the deal from Plastiq:

“Schedule 6 or more rent or mortgage payments with either your MasterCard or American Express, and lock in a lower Plastiq fee for these payments. Promotional fees are as follows:

MasterCard = 1.75%

American Express = 2.25%

Yesterday, a bunch of you asked my thoughts on a Wyndham promo that was cancelled before it started.

Here are my thoughts…I have none other than this is why they are who they are. The reason so people care about Wyndham is because Wyndham sucks. Let’s move on to things actually worth talking about…

  • Virgin America continues their charmingly eager quest to make us rich 500 points at a time.
  • Delta decides to make their miles useful (until the end of the day) for people traveling to/from New York.
  • If you’re booking a Southwest flight, make sure you look here in the next couple of weeks.
