20% Bonus Marriott To American Transfers

An interesting promo to convert usually-not-too-great Marriott points into American Airlines miles. It’s a 20% bonus in October on either regular transfers or travel packages. If you have a big pile of Marriott points, I’d definitely take a look.

End Of Week

A few deals to close out the week:

  • The latest batch of Reduced Mileage Awards is out if you have an American Airlines card. As always, these are pretty damn great.
  • Thanks to Steve for sending this status match link from Avianca Brazil (Star Alliance). A lot of translating looks necessary on that page. Who has the energy to do it right now? Not this guy.
  • This Sunday (10/4) through Saturday (10/10), the $20 Staples gift card deal is back when you buy $300 in Mastercard gift cards. In-store only.
  • A 30,000-point offer on the American Express EveryDay card (pretty strong bonus on a good card).
  • Another fresh $50 from Gett, a competitor of my beloved Uber, in Manhattan.

And with that my nerds, au revoir until Monday!

Edit: Courtesy of Adam, the translation is below. You guys are awesome…

Last 1-to-1 Day Amex and British

Here’s a shocker…we have a devaluation happening.

It’s the last day to get a 1-to-1 ratio on transfers from American Express Membership Rewards to British Airways Avios points.

Like many of you, I built up a nice pile of British points with transfer bonuses from American Express every few months. Those bonuses are about to get significantly less valuable. Starting tomorrow, 1,000 Amex points will be worth just 800 Avios.

Blah.

British Offer For Canadians

As always, the posts here are mostly focused mainly on Americans. But I do hear from our northern neighbors and like to share the occasional offer. Here’s a 50,000-mile British card for Canadians. Not quite what we have here, but better than what I normally see for you Canucks.
