A Case Of The Mondays

Let’s get this week going with some deals…

  • A targeted United card offer is now public. Advertised as 50,000 miles, but it’s a little better than that. Just add an authorized user when you apply for another 5,000 miles.
  • Get US Airways miles for personal loans. Up to 15,000 miles if you’re borrowing 20 grand.
  • The 30,000-mile United offer from DirecTV was extended.
  • American’s 25,000-mile offer too.

Delays And Voices

For those who don’t actually click on the blog every day, I’m hearing there are some delay issues. A lot of my posts are getting to your email/reader a day late. I have no clue why that is, and don’t really have a solution to offer. If you know what the problem is, your input would be appreciated. On that note…

I’ve also been getting a bunch of emails asking questions in the area of redeeming miles. Coincidentally, I just heard from my friend Andrew at ShrewdTravel. He asked if I’d be interested in guest posts on that exact subject. It was good timing and I told him I’d definitely talk to him about it. So, seeing as I don’t allow comments here, and my voice is usually the only one…

If you have something you’d like to do a guest post about, feel free to let me know. If you want me to clean up the writing for you, I’d be happy to do that. And, of course, you can plug your website or business at the end of the post. No guarantee that every idea gets published, but I’ll respond to everyone (as always). Have a great weekend, guys!

Stays For Life

I don’t post many contests these days. I can’t say they really draw my attention anymore. I believe the word is “meh.” But then I saw Radisson giving away hotel stays FOR LIFE. Specifically, a 5-night stay every year for up to 58 years. No matter how jaded I’ve become about contests, this woke me up.

3,000 Bonus Miles For A Stay

RocketMiles is back at it again. They’re offering 3,000 bonus miles for anyone who hasn’t booked a hotel stay yet. Reservation needs to be made before August 8th, but the stay can be after. They keep tempting me to make my first booking. One day soon, Rocketmiles…one day soon…

Latest PointBreaks

As most of you know, hotel points get burned FAST. That’s why it’s important to pay attention to things like InterContinental’s Pointbreaks. The latest version is here and, as always, these can stretch your points further. 5,000 points per night can go a long way. It’s not hard to get IHG points, between their credit card and Chase Ultimate Rewards transfers. Marriott’s PointSavers can be good too, but aren’t quite as exciting to cheapskates, in my opinion.
