I’m a little embarrassed to be such an Uber fanboy.  Because of this, I avoid posting most of their new member deals. It’s a different feeling for me to be such an unjaded fan of something. Anyway, the majority of you have already signed up with every cell phone number you have access to. So, I’ll just say this…

Taxis are terrible. Ridiculously bad. No wonder I love Uber this much. Anything would have been a huge step up. Plus, who doesn’t like all the free money they throw at us? If you somehow still haven’t signed up, you should be able to pick up $25 (or more) free. I hear mixed messages about if the codes are still stackable. The Korean Air card bonus just doubled to 30,000 miles. You can get the Personal or Business version. Not the greatest card in the world, but it’s from US Bank instead of one of the more popular banks. Worth looking at for some of you…I’ll probably pass.

Sharing Is Caring

As my good friend Rick says, “Don’t just buy the miles. That’s like surrender!” I tend to agree. I’m never impressed with the “sales” airlines have on their miles and points. I like to earn them using our more clever methods. But US Airways’ Sharing Miles promo is a different story. When it comes around, it’s a legitimately good deal. Pretty simple stuff…

  • You transfer 50,000 miles to your friend’s account at a cost of $567.50. Your friend gets 100,000 miles in their account. 
  • Your friend can do the same thing right back. He sends 50,000 miles and you get 100,000.

Each account needs to be at least 12 days old to do this. It’s basically the cheapest way you’ll find to “buy” 50,000 US Airways miles. Really good deal that ends Sunday!
