Maldives Resort

Probably 90% of the answers I’ve heard to “Where would your your dream vacation be” come from 3 places. It’s either Hawaii, Bora Bora, or the Maldives. Hawaii is a little easier to get to (with cash or points), so Bora Bora/Maldives seem to be the most common dream exotic locations. Richard Branson’s Necker Island is in there too, but these seem to be the 2 biggies.

If you’ve been collecting points and miles for a while, you’re probably in position to plan a Maldives trip. It’s complicated I know, but definitely possible. Still, a lot of you are new to the game, and would like to go without points. For you guys, this is a rare sale on a nice property. Go to Jetsetter and search for Anantara Dhigu. Yup, it’s the one on the picture.

Not Every Email Is Junk

I just got an offer for 15,000 bonus miles from Frontier Airlines. Others are getting the same offer from US Airways. The point is, if you have a Barclays card, read your emails and look for postcards in your mailbox. The offer going around is for 15,000 miles if you spend $750 on the card in April, May, and June. Not bad at all.

Getting Cash Back

I’ve talked a few times about evreward.com. Before buying anything online, I go there and check where to get the most money (or miles) back. Why not earn something as you part with your hard-earned cash? The only other website I tend to use to find these portals is Cashback Holics. Between those 2, I figure out the best shopping portal to use and it takes me a grand total of about 30 seconds. For those who use these religiously, you understand how it can add up to hundreds (or thousands) of dollars a year in cash back.

As far as which shopping portal is best, you’ll just go where evreward sends you. Eventually, you’ll sign up for all of the portals and pretty much rotate through them. I use Mr. Rebates, Big Crumbs, and FatWallet the most. The best of the newer crop have been ExtraBux and TopCashBack. It’s free money, so I never mind spending a few seconds to get the most cash back.
