Are you sitting on a pile of American Express Membership Rewards points? If so, today’s your last day to get a 40% bonus transferring them to British Airways points. There is no way to know what (or when) the next bonus will be. I had to close an Amex card, so I took advantage of this one.
4 Things To Say
- If you’re looking really hard for some new credit card options, La Quinta has one here.
- 20,000 points after first purchase
- 20,000 more points if you spend $10,000 in a year
- No annual fee
- TJ emailed me about yesterday’s post. He funded his Citibank checking account with a Chase Sapphire card and it counted as a cash advance. I’m looking for answers here, so if anyone has other experience, please let me know.
- Get triple JetBlue points here.
- US Airways has the most underrated credit card in the game. Today, I got another promo for 5x bonus miles starting October 1. (My code was SP0954001). This is for dining, department stores, and electronics stores. Another easy way to rack up 2,500 bonus miles.
More Checking Account Goodness
I posted 5 days ago about the 35,000 miles for a Citibank checking account. I got an email from Scott, who read the terms and noticed you can fund the account with a credit card. I’ve done this before with banks and credit unions, and it’s obviously an AWESOME way to meet minimum spends and earn extra miles.
American Express and Citibank credit cards can, in some cases, count these charges as cash advances. Chase, on the other hand, has never been a problem for me. So if you have a Chase card that you need to meet a minimum spend on, you really should look at the checking account offer.
