New Name

People often ask why I started this blog. To be honest, it was because I got so tired of sending emails to my loved ones. I know that sounds bad, but it seemed like I was spending an hour a day sending them miles and points updates. So basically, I started this blog to save time.

Now, over a year later, I spend way longer than an hour each day on this hobby/obsession. And, somehow, thousands of you have found your way here and have become loyal readers. I now spend a big chunk of my day on research and responding to emails. Why do I do it? Considering I make about 2 cents an hour from my ads, this definitely isn’t paying any bills. But I really do enjoy keeping this blog updated 5 days a week and gaining so many new fans. I just enjoy doing it.

With the growing popularity (and after listening to feedback), I’ve decided to make a name change. It takes too long to tell people a blog address of mileagesaver.blogspot.com. So, as of today, I have a much simpler location at MileNerd.com. Hope you all like the new name. Thanks for your support!

Making Miles Paying Rent

Obviously, you don’t make miles writing checks. So, for a fee, you can make your rent/mortgage payment with a credit card through William Paid.

Note: Some landlords accept Paypal (fee) or Amazon Payments (no fee, but monthly limit of $1,000).

More Miles For Wine

I recently posted how you can make 5,000 Delta SkyMiles for wine purchases. A reader pointed out that you can also earn US Airways miles here. Personally, I’ll be waiting to see if there’s another Grand Slam promotion before ordering my wine.
