My favorite car rental promo (with the most fun name to say) is back. They’re starting you off with some easy points and, as always, it’s easy to rack up free rentals. If there’s a better promo for car rentals, I’m not aware of it.

  • A quick bit of housekeeping. They’ve been sloppy, but their merge account feature is finally working – either keep your Starwood or Marriott number.
  • Kimpton’s latest list of Last Minute Deals is out. As always, some people love this brand (others just stare in confusion).
  • Reader Trevor has health issues and came up with a raffle to promote his cause. The prize is 2 flights + 3 nights at any Hilton. For every $100 donation, you’ll get a raffle ticket. I think this could be a pretty smart bet if you’re a gambler. Why? Considering how hard it is to get people to part with $100, I’d guess the number of donations will be low. Meaning, odds of winning this could be unusually high.
