Frontier Sale

If you have a deep and intense hatred of comfort, you might want to consider Frontier Airlines for this $20 sale. Actually, there are some really good options in there. It’s just that, well, it’s Frontier Airlines. I feel obligated to make fun of them whenever possible. But, hey, at least they’re not United.

(Wait, did I just come up with their new slogan?)

IHG Points

Yeah, part of me still dies when I talk about buying points. But with so many people short on hotel points these days, it’s an option that does need to be considered for some. This IHG sale is good only if you have a stay in mind, do the math, see that it works, and have no better option. I wouldn’t buy just to hoard these.

Avios Transfer Bonus

In this month’s edition of occasional-deals-that-are-pretty-good-but-won’t-matter-to-many-people, there’s a 30% transfer bonus from Diners Club to British Airways. This expires at the end of March. But it’s Diners Club. So it isn’t going to matter to most readers. Then again, the 9 of you who do actually care about that currency can throw a party to celebrate the fact that it finally got mentioned.

Fairmont Contest

(Really big thanks to reader Julie for this valuable giveaway. It’s something she could have sold and made a good chunk of change on but she chose to offer it up here. I really appreciate that, Julie)

This giveaway is for 2 free night certificates at any Fairmont hotel (other than the Plaza in New York). Obviously, these aren’t cheap stays. The one fairly big catch is that these certificates expire in 15 days (March 31st) and must be used by then. Because of the extra time crunch complication, I’m going to give both nights to the same person. Please don’t enter if you’re not 100% sure you can use them. Not much time to work with on this one.

To enter, please email the address below. Blank emails are fine. The subject should be, “Fairmont Contest.” As always, I don’t read messages there so please only use that inbox for contests. I’ll pick one random winner at 4:00 PST this afternoon. Have a great weekend, nerds!

Website Feedback Request

I got an email from reader Beth asking if I knew anything about a website called DoNotPay.

The short answer? Nope.

But it sure sounds interesting…

Apparently, this website claims to track flight/hotel reservations and “negotiate” a better deal when the price drops. As “the world’s first robot lawyer,” DoNotPay says they’ll fight for you without charging a cent.

Well, I’ve never heard of it, but I’d love to find out if this is the real deal or not. Great new service? Too good to be true? Somewhere in the middle? I have no idea.

So, if any of you guys take this for a spin, can you please let me know how your experience goes? I’d like to give Beth (and the rest of you) a better answer. Thanks!
