End Of Week Stuff

  • A bunch of good new card links this week. Crazily, I might actually get approved for these two – Barclays American Business (40,000 points with no spend) and Amex Hilton Surpass (125,000 points, might need to try the link in an incognito browser).
  • This may be hard to believe, but through the end of the day, there’s a JetBlue sale on the internet.
  • American is giving away a million miles. Jetsmarter is giving away a free private jet flight if you’re a fancy person with a fancy watch.

Have a great weekend, nerds!

JetBlue Two

Since I never shut up about it being my favorite airline for domestic coach travel…of course I’m happy to see an all-time high JetBlue bonus. I’ll definitely give this one a shot for 60,000 points. Speaking of JetBlue, here’s something unique and potentially interesting for the right person. A complimentary trip to Jamaica, Houston, or the Bahamas if you’re interested in volunteering.

2 More Cards I Can’t Get

Thanks to multiple readers for sending this new link for 127,500 Marriott points if spending isn’t a problem. And thanks to many who also pointed out that the Amex Platinum via CardMatch is showing 100,000 for some again.

But no thanks to the jackasses at Chase who have made it impossible for me to get the Marriott personal card. Oh, and American Express is just as annoying for their once-in-a-lifetime wording on that Platinum bonus.

On a positive note, I just realized that “stressed” spelled backwards is “desserts.”

I feel somewhat better now.

Avis 10 Bucks

Is this the closest a car rental company gets to admitting Uber hurts them? Avis sure seems to be saying it here. Get a one-way rental from the airport to town in a bunch of cities. 150 miles and 12 hours are included for $9.99. Some great deals there for the right person.

National Status

I pretty much only use National for my car rentals. Status actually means something there and I’ve gotten used to choosing better cars from their aisle. There are plenty of codes floating around to bring down the price. And they have the best rental promo every year.

If you’ve somehow avoided National status until now, here are a few ways to get it:

  • If possible, match from Hertz or Avis.
  • Have an Amex Platinum card.
  • Have any World Elite MasterCard (Virgin Atlantic, Hawaiian Airlines, Citi Prestige, Barclays Arrival, Citi ThankYou, or some Citi American card types).
