I’ve never gotten as many messages about a credit card as I did yesterday. Yes, the Chase Sapphire Reserve is the now the best current signup offer. But no, it’s not some kind of new revolution. Non-noobs fondly remember plenty of 6-figure bonuses. Wasn’t long ago that they were the norm. And those were much easier to get. Looks like it might be worth seeing if you can get targeted in-branch with this one. Especially if you have a bunch of applications in the last 24 months. Remember to balance out the huge annual fee by taking advantage of the travel credit this year and next.
