2 Hotel Promotions

Here’s some good incentive to book a Points + Cash stay with IHG. And this is another creative promo from Rocketmiles. Their Alaska offer is probably the best they have going right now. Maybe one day I’ll book one of these. Maybe…

A Tale Of 2 Gift Card Companies

Positive Tale:
Reader Jason shared a message from Gift Card Mart, where we now earn 5x points on our Chase Ink cards. Obviously, we all like 5x.

Negative Tale:
Many of you shared a shitty message about Gift Card Rescue. In short, they suck at business and probably won’t be paying the money they owe you guys. Just the emails I received in the last few hours added up to over $10,000 lost.

10,000 Amex Points Once Again

Man, I’ve posted this deal for a long time. ‘Twas such an innocent world when I first wrote about it…

Forget iPhones, we didn’t even own calculators. We had to add with our fingers. And to subtract, we had to have fingers amputated. Back then, tweeting was just for birds. We didn’t get the Facebook app…what we did get was polio. And then we died. Like real men. Back then, we never would have laughed at Donald Trump’s hair. Oh wait. Maybe we would have…

Anyway, my point is, I’ve posted this deal a lot. But hey, when it works, it’s incredibly easy and pretty valuable. Another batch of you picked up 10,000 American Express points over the weekend for enrolling in their pay-over-time offer. So here it is. Give it a shot. Definitely worth the 30 seconds to try. Again.

Favorite Place In The World?

The title says it all. I’m working on a (hopefully) interesting post tackling this question from a unique angle. Pretty simple…if you have an absolute favorite place in the world, can you please let me know what that is? No matter how long or short the reasoning, it would help to know your thoughts. Really talking to those of you who have one above-all-other favorite place. Thanks guys!

Economist Deal

For those who are classier than me (most people) and read The Economist, here’s another deal for it. According to my annoyingly classy friend Rob, this is a better deal than usual – 13,200 Avios for under 200 bucks.

He said something long-winded about bringing down the price even more with a VPN, different countries, addresses, and exchange rates. I’d try to explain but his Economist conversation made me really sleepy. He kept talking and, before I knew it, I got distracted by something more interesting…staring at my wall.

Just kidding, Rob! Thanks for the email, man!
