If you just got approved for less, typing a quick message to Chase doesn’t take long and it’s definitely worth a try. Even at 60,000 points, this gets my vote for most underrated hotel card out there.

Return Of SPG Moments

Thanks to reader David for pointing out some good stuff with SPG Moments right now. For you guys with kids who love baseball, this one is pretty damn cool. Taking the field with the Cubs would make most grown men in Chicago giddy, let alone the kids who have a chance to do this for under 30,000 points. If you have some Starwood points to spare, it’s a good idea to browse through the Moments page every once in a while. I tend to find more value with the fixed price options than the auctions.

Lyft’s Turn

The Uber/Lyft I’m-better-than-you-one-upmanship continues. Uber gave existing users a free 5 bucks and Lyft waited all of a day to double that. I like battles that end with more deals for us.
