You know the JetBlue promo was good when I broke my one-post-a-day rule for it on Friday. Not something that happens more than once or twice a year. A bunch asked for cheap flight recommendations after registering. So here’s how I found mine:
- I went to Google Flights and looked for the shortest trip (for me that was Long Beach to Las Vegas).
- Selected JetBlue as the only airline in my search.
- Put in a 0 day trip since I don’t have much free time and need to get the trip done in a few hours.
- Looked at the price graph for my cheapest date options.
In my case, I did this search for 3 nearby destinations and narrowed it down to these cheap options:
- $136 round-trip to Vegas on July 11th (or $127 on August 3rd).
- $91 round-trip to Oakland on July 19th.
- $127 round-trip to San Francisco on July 13th.
Some of you like to use the map on Google Flights, but this method works for me. Didn’t take more than a couple minutes. Another option to get there would have been:
- Going here and selecting Long Beach as my departing airport.
- Putting Oakland as my destination and clicking nearby to select Vegas and San Francisco.
- Selecting “See a calendar of lowest fares.”
- Typing 0 for length of stay.
No matter how I get the search done, spending 100 bucks for 75,000 JetBlue points is a killer deal. It will absolutely be worth 3 hours of flying next month.
