Miles For Parking

I’m pretty good with staying on top of big mile/point opportunities, but sometimes lose track of the smaller stuff. Reader Kevin was nice enough to send me this thread on Flyertalk. There are a couple websites mentioned (Preflight Parking and Thanks Again) that people are using to earn miles for parking. Never tried either, but they’re worth passing along. Maybe.

Thanks To Many

Thanksgiving is a special holiday. For this one day, we express all the gratitude we should feel for the other 364 days of the year. In the world of travel, I’m especially thankful for the following:

  • Hyatt and Starwood – For being my favorite hotel points. They are the anti-Hilton in many ways. Specifically, Hyatt and Starwood points still have value.
  • Southwest – For their Companion Pass. The best thing going in domestic travel.
  • British Airways – For being the second best thing going in domestic travel.
  • Walmart – Even though part of me dies whenever I walk in, their existence has many benefits.
  • Chase – For having the best mile/point credit cards by far.
  • AwardWallet – For keeping track of my millions of points and dozens of accounts.
  • My Hustling Spirit – For leading me to a hobby that lets me travel well beyond my means.
  • My Friends – That’s you guys. You are truly the only reason I write this blog. Really, what else is there? Thank you for your kindness, your questions, your support, and your help. As weird as it once seemed, you guys have become a special part of my life. Have a very happy Thanksgiving.

Hotel Tonight Black Friday

Hotel points are always trickier than miles (at least for me). I don’t ever seem to have the same surplus and end up paying for some nights (not many, but some). Hotel Tonight annoys me with their fees so I’ve never booked with them, but their Black Friday deals might be worth exploring. Feel free to let me know if you find anything good there.
