1,500 Free Miles

Germany is pretty cool, right? It’s well-known for things like…uh…hmm…

(awkward silence)

Anyhoo, grab an easy 1,500 miles for joining AirBerlin’s “Topbonus” program here. The last two free-for-finally-sigining-up offers were 2,500 points from Southwest and 1,000 SkyMiles from Delta. As always, load all your new accounts into AwardWallet to avoid forgetfulness and/or expiration. Have a great weekend!

2 Credit Card Updates

Chase Freedom and Sapphire are trying to give us some more motivation. They’re offering 2,500 Ultimate Rewards points for adding an additional user. The user has to make a purchase within 3 months. Sapphire Preferred is offering 5,000 points for this. Unfortunately, the bonus points are for new applications only. But if you don’t mind asking for things (and you shouldn’t), definitely make a call or send a message to Chase. Go get some points!

The targeted offers for the 150,000-point Amex Platinum card keeps popping up. I didn’t get one but know a few of you did. If you want to double-check your offers, here’s what you can do…

    • Open up an incognito browser window.
    • Click here
    • Click “No, use my name and address.”
    • Click the “Business Card” option.
    • Enter your information under “Search By Business.”
    • See what offers you’re targeted for.

Possible 2,500 Starwood Points

“Don’t be a slacker” is a favorite phrase of mine. But nothing is true all the time. My slacker-ness is exactly why I just picked up 2,500 Starwood points. Months ago, I never bothered to link my Delta and SPG accounts, so now they’re bribing me to do it. Check your email and spam folder for this targeted offer (if you’ve been a slacker like me). The email should look like the picture below.

British Air Website Less Terrible?

Funny how the universe works. Southwest points get a little worse. And, on the same day, British gets better. Those two “currencies” are, by far, my favorite ways to book domestic flights. But a major pain has always been the ridiculously bad British Airways website. I’ve spent too many hours of my life talking to people who sound like this rather than being able to book on the site. Well, the times they might be changing. I just had a great experience. Domestic US Airways flights are now bookable on britishairways.com. And the flights look like they’re actually showing up as they’re supposed to. I just booked 2 of them with no issues. And without a phone call.  Nice job, British…Michael Caine would be proud!
