- I just got an email for 750 free Southwest points. This was for an easy merging of my AirTran and Southwest accounts. Check your spam folder if you didn’t get the email. No AirTran account? It might be worth signing up for one now just in case.
- If you live in New Brunswick, you get free Uber rides. Hey, finally something good comes out of living in New Brunswick!
- $75 for signing up 3 friends who spend $25 through Ebates.
- 15% off booking hotels from Orbitz with code GETHAPPY.
- A really, really good guide to British Air Avios here.
- Get a 50% bonus converting Royal Bank of Canada Rewards to Avios.
- Free Hilton Gold status for a bunch of MBA graduates.
- Win First-Class flights on American, a free flight on Alaska, 140,000 Hawaiian miles, or a Vegas vacation.
Busy Card Week
A bunch of changed and improved credit card offers in the last few days…
- Chase Ink Plus is up to 60,000 points. Obviously, a pretty strong offer.
- Ink Bold matched the same offer. Again, it’s hard to be a hater on this one.
- Lufthansa bumped up to their come-and-go 50,000-mile offer. Not bad.
- US Air added a different offer. Not necessarily better, but definitely not bad.
- One Ritz Carlton card offer added Platinum status if you spend…wait for it…$75,000. Yeah, I don’t think so.
- Wells Fargo introduced a pretty decent 40,000-point Propel card.
Have a great weekend…MileNerd out!
25 Free AwardWallet Codes
Before I paste the codes, I want to run through a couple deals:
- 30% transfer bonus from Amex Membership Rewards to Virgin Atlantic. A pretty good deal for some.
- Free 1,500 Hilton points for getting an insurance quote. Yeah, I know…Hilton points. If they were a stock, you’d be feeling pretty broke right now.
- Finally, if you’re not buying the $200 Visa gift cards from Staples.com, I’m confused. The only excuse that makes sense is not having a Chase Ink card. With the 6 cents per dollar from Swagbucks, you’re making a little money on the deal and could be RACKING UP the Ultimate Rewards points with your Ink. 5x from Staples, money from Swagbucks, and the ease of buying online. I’m a big fan of this one.
Yeah, it’s well on the way to becoming a monthly feature here on the MileNerd blog…AwardWallet codes are back! Just log into your account, click “Upgrade Using A Coupon” and apply a code. This will upgrade your account for 6 months. Please only take 1 of these each. I’ll edit the post at some point in the day when they’re all gone.

Return Of The Lufthansa Card
It’s back…again. The 50,000-mile offer from Lufthansa is here for the next couple months. Is it any good? Yeah, definitely. If you need something from Barclays (and already have the Arrival and US Airways cards) then it’s a solid option. And now for the comment of the day about the redesign. From Scott:
“Your new logo looks like a bedroom device to me. No offense.”
This is awkward.
Catching Up
Man, I talk about the new look for a day and I fall behind. Ok, let’s play a little catch up…
- Yes, if you have an Ink card, you should be buying $200 Visa gift cards online at Staples. I’m buying a bunch. Just make sure you stack bonuses. Your Ink card should be registered at Visa Savings Edge, and you should get to Staples through a portal (I’m using Swagbucks for this one).
- 1,000 free Club Carlson points. This is an easy one. You should at the very least have a fake Twitter account for this stuff by now.
- Free Turkish miles for kids. Again, it’s an easy one.
- Sending flowers to a random mom (or even your own)? Get 30 American or United miles per dollar spent.
As far as the new look, thank you so much for the feedback. Making the font a little darker was mentioned a few times. I’ll see if that’s possible. For the most part, everyone loved the changes. My favorite comment was from reader Ed. He wrote, “What the heck is that logo? Is it Arabic characters? A guy snowboarding? Someone on a stretcher? You should have a contest.”
Well, Ed, you’re not alone. A few of you brought this up. The answer isn’t very exciting. Are you ready for this? The logo is…
…wait for it….
…an airplane.
One last thing. I mentioned David’s stuff yesterday and I really hope you checked it out. This whole thing came from an appreciation for what we do for each other. Nobody charged me a cent…they were just happy to do what they could. I did forget Stephanie, who designed everything. She has a consulting company here, and again, I hope you can contact her if you need any help with any tech issues. Both her and David are so great to work with. Thanks again!
